De acordo com o\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ndga\/pr\/georgia-man-pleads-guilty-hacking-apple-accounts-professional-athletes-and-musicians\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Departamento de Justi\u00e7a<\/a>\u00a0norte-americano, os alvos do hacker eram rappers e atletas, incluindo jogadores da NBA (liga de basquete) e da NFL (liga de futebol americano). Os ataques come\u00e7aram em 2015.<\/p>\n<p>O preju\u00edzo \u00e9 estimado em milhares de d\u00f3lares, que foram usados para pagar despesas com m\u00f3veis e viagens, como, por exemplo, jantares e estadias em hoteis. Al\u00e9m disso, o cibercriminoso fez transfer\u00eancias de dinheiro para as suas pr\u00f3prias contas. As acusa\u00e7\u00f5es incluem roubo de identidade, fraude eletr\u00f4nica, fraude de computador e fraude de dispositivo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEste caso demonstra a necessidade de se ter cuidado ao proteger informa\u00e7\u00f5es pessoais e senhas, especialmente quando se est\u00e1 respondendo e-mails suspeitos. Espero que esta seja uma li\u00e7\u00e3o para todos, n\u00e3o apenas para as v\u00edtimas neste caso\u201d, disse Chris Hacker, agente especial do FBI.<\/p>\n<h2>Como o esquema de phishing funcionava<\/h2>\n<p>Usando um e-mail falso que imitava um dom\u00ednio da Apple, o hacker enviou milhares de mensagens de phishing.<\/p>\n<p>As celebridades ent\u00e3o receberam e-mails que pareciam ser da Apple e alegavam que as suas contas apresentavam problemas. Ent\u00e3o, com a promessa de resolver a quest\u00e3o, o hacker se passou pelo suporte t\u00e9cnico da Apple e pediu \u00e0s v\u00edtimas os seus usu\u00e1rios e senhas ou as respostas para as perguntas de seguran\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p>Depois de receber as informa\u00e7\u00f5es, o cibercriminoso teve acesso ao perfil completo de cada v\u00edtima na Apple, incluindo detalhes do cart\u00e3o de cr\u00e9dito. O pr\u00f3ximo passo dele era uma tentativa de assumir o controle das contas.
