Como funciona o No More Ransom<\/h2>\n

Nas palavras da Europol, \u201cransomware \u00e9 um tipo de malware que bloqueia o computador das v\u00edtimas ou criptografa seus dados, exigindo que paguem um resgate para recuperar o controle sobre os dispositivos ou arquivos afetados\u201d.<\/p>\n

O No More Ransom funciona justamente ajudando v\u00edtimas de ataques de ransomware a recuperar os seus dados criptografados sem ter que pagar o valor do resgate para os cibercriminosos. \u201cComo \u00e9 muito mais f\u00e1cil evitar a amea\u00e7a do que lutar contra ela depois que o sistema \u00e9 afetado, o projeto tamb\u00e9m visa educar os usu\u00e1rios sobre como o ransomware funciona e quais medidas podem ser tomadas para prevenir efetivamente a infec\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d, explica o portal do NMR.<\/p>\n

NMR j\u00e1 ajudou mais de 200.000 v\u00edtimas de ransomware<\/h2>\n

Com a ajuda do No More Ransom, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel descriptografar mais de 100 tipos diferentes de infec\u00e7\u00f5es causadas por ransomware. Segundo a Europol, desde que foi lan\u00e7ado, o NMR j\u00e1 ajudou mais de 200.000 v\u00edtimas de ransomware a recuperarem os seus arquivos gratuitamente.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00c9 estimado que mais de USD 100 milh\u00f5es tenham sido salvos com a ajuda das ferramentas disponibilizadas no portal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A iniciativa contabiliza ainda visitantes de 188 pa\u00edses, totalizando mais de 3 milh\u00f5es de visitas desde o seu surgimento. Por se tratar de um projeto global, o portal do NMR est\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel em mais de 30 idiomas, incluindo ingl\u00eas, portugu\u00eas, espanhol e franc\u00eas, por exemplo.<\/p>\n

Compromisso em combater e prevenir ransomware<\/h2>\n

O ransomware se tornou uma das principais amea\u00e7as digitais dos \u00faltimos anos. Os estragos provocados por amea\u00e7as como o GandCrab, o SamSam, o Wannacry e o NotPetya t\u00eam nos mostrado isso. Este tipo de malware<\/a> tem sido muito utilizado pelos criminosos por ser altamente lucrativo.<\/p>\n

De acordo com a Europol, h\u00e1 casos em que ataques de ransomware custaram \u00e0s empresas mais de EUR 1 milh\u00e3o para recuperar os dados sequestrados. Um outro relat\u00f3rio aponta que, em 2018, os preju\u00edzos financeiros causados por este tipo de amea\u00e7a chegam a USD 8 bilh\u00f5es.<\/p>\n
