Este \u00e9 um trecho de uma mensagem maliciosa interceptada pela prote\u00e7\u00e3o de e-mail da Gatefy.<\/p>\n

O e-mail trata-se de sextortion, um tipo de fraude em que o golpista extorque ou chantageia algu\u00e9m, amea\u00e7ando postar na internet v\u00eddeos ou fotos de cunho sexual da pessoa.<\/p>\n

O autor do e-mail malicioso, bloqueado em ingl\u00eas, afirma representar o grupo hacker WannaCry.<\/p>\n

De fato, WannaCry \u00e9 o nome de um ransomware<\/a>. Este tipo de malware ficou muito conhecido em 2017, quando atingiu diferentes empresas e mais de 200.000 pessoas em todo o mundo.<\/p>\n

Neste caso de sextortion, o cibercriminoso est\u00e1 se aproveitando de uma amea\u00e7a j\u00e1 conhecida para colocar ainda mais medo em suas v\u00edtimas.<\/p>\n

Segundo o hacker, o ataque aconteceu em 3 etapas. Primeiro, o seu e-mail foi comprometido. Depois o sistema operacional do seu dispositivo ou m\u00e1quina foi hackeado. Finalmente, ele teve acesso a sua c\u00e2mera.<\/p>\n

\u201cEnquanto navega nesses sites (adultos), a c\u00e2mera do seu dispositivo liga automaticamente\u201d, diz o cibercriminoso.<\/p>\n

\u201cA partir do momento em que voc\u00ea ler esta carta, ap\u00f3s 60 horas, todos os seus contatos nesta caixa de e-mail e em seus mensageiros instant\u00e2neos receber\u00e3o esses clipes e arquivos com sua correspond\u00eancia\u201d.<\/p>\n

Para destruir os v\u00eddeos, o hacker exige um pagamento de USD 550, em bitcoins.<\/p>\n

Este caso \u00e9 semelhante a\u00a0outro caso de sextortion<\/a>\u00a0que a solu\u00e7\u00e3o de e-mail da Gatefy bloqueou.<\/p>\n

Sextortion causa diversos preju\u00edzos<\/h2>\n

\u00c9 importante entender que sextortion \u00e9 um tipo de extors\u00e3o. Ali\u00e1s, \u00e9 o tipo mais comum de extors\u00e3o que existe.<\/p>\n

De acordo com o FBI, os preju\u00edzos envolvendo casos de extors\u00e3o aumentaram quase 30% de 2018 para 2019<\/a>. O rombo passou de USD 83 milh\u00f5es para USD 107 milh\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

Em 2019, foram registrados 43 mil incidentes de extors\u00e3o na internet.<\/p>\n

O que fazer em casos de sextortion<\/h2>\n
