Desta vez, o cibercriminoso tenta se passar por uma empresa de consultoria dizendo que tem uma \u201cpotencial oportunidade de investimento\u201d.<\/p>\n

Para aumentar a credibilidade do golpe e enganar mais pessoas, o criminoso utiliza um endere\u00e7o de e-mail semelhante ao utilizado por outras empresas. \u00c9 o que a gente chama de spoofing de e-mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Como em muitos ataques de phishing, o cibercriminoso foi educado e direto ao ponto. Acompanhe:<\/p>\n

A real inten\u00e7\u00e3o por tr\u00e1s do golpe, aplicado em ingl\u00eas, n\u00f3s n\u00e3o sabemos. Pode ser uma tentativa de ter acesso a informa\u00e7\u00f5es confidenciais, de infectar a rede da empresa com algum tipo de malware ou ainda de exigir pagamento por intermediar uma negocia\u00e7\u00e3o que nunca ir\u00e1 existir.<\/p>\n

Como identificar o golpe de e-mail<\/h2>\n

1. Spoofing de dom\u00ednio<\/h3>\n

Um primeiro ponto que chama a aten\u00e7\u00e3o neste golpe de phishing \u00e9 o dom\u00ednio alliedconsults.com. Existe outro endere\u00e7o que tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 utilizado pelo hacker: alliediconsults.com. Estes endere\u00e7os s\u00e3o muito parecidos com os endere\u00e7os de empresas leg\u00edtimas.<\/p>\n

O que muda s\u00e3o apenas algumas letras. Esta t\u00e9cnica se chama de spoofing de dom\u00ednio<\/a> (mais precisamente de spoofing de site e spoofing de e-mail) e \u00e9 muito utilizada por hackers para cometer fraudes na internet.<\/p>\n

Segundo o FBI, foram reportados mais de 15,000 casos de spoofing em 2018<\/a>, totalizando um preju\u00edzo de cerca de USD 70 milh\u00f5es. O FBI define que o spoofing acontece quando \u201cinforma\u00e7\u00f5es de contato (n\u00famero de telefone, e-mail e site) s\u00e3o intencionalmente falsificadas para induzir em erro e parecer ser de uma fonte leg\u00edtima\u201d.<\/p>\n

A ag\u00eancia separa os cibercrimes de spoofing e de phishing, mas faz um alerta dizendo que os crimes de spoofing frequentemente acontecem em combina\u00e7\u00e3o com outros tipos de cibercrimes.<\/p>\n

2. Senso de urg\u00eancia e proposta tentadora<\/h3>\n

Outro ponto interessante a ser notado neste golpe de e-mail \u00e9 o senso de urg\u00eancia e o fato de se tratar de um proposta tentadora. Estas s\u00e3o duas caracater\u00edsticas marcantes de golpes de phishing. Ao criar a impress\u00e3o de que se trata de uma proposta imperd\u00edvel, o fraudador cativa e conquista a v\u00edtima.<\/p>\n

Depois ao criar o senso de urg\u00eancia, de que a situa\u00e7\u00e3o precisa ser resolvida, ele termina por envolver a v\u00edtima, que acaba desconsiderando aspectos importantes.<\/p>\n

3. Golpe de e-mail nem t\u00e3o novo assim<\/h3>\n

Por fim, vale destacar que n\u00e3o se trata de um golpe novo. Ao buscar por Gilbert Mboweni na internet, logo se percebe que h\u00e1 outras varia\u00e7\u00f5es deste golpe. Em alguns casos, at\u00e9 e-mails do Gmail foram utilizados, como, por exemplo, alliedinvestmentc@gmail.com e ambowenim@gmail.com. Uma busca nas redes sociais, como o Linkedin, n\u00e3o apresenta resultados.<\/p>\n

Como combater phishing e spoofing<\/h2>\n

Uma das principais dicas para se proteger contra ataques de e-mail \u00e9 estar sempre alerta. Por isso, ao receber uma mensagem \u00e9 importante verificar nomes, URLs<\/a>, endere\u00e7os de e-mail e o conte\u00fado. Em caso de suspeita, tente confirmar a mensagem de outro modo, como uma liga\u00e7\u00e3o de telefone.<\/p>\n
